The Toyota Glow Up Classic event, held in partnership with the 18th Ward, featured “NFL stars such as Darrell “Housh” Doucette, Tyrann Mathieu, Demario Davis, Michael Pittman Jr., Christian Gonzalez, and others.” The event included NFL flag football games with local youth, where participants wore glow-in-the-dark jerseys, flags, and footballs, all played under black lights.
Additionally, a significant highlight of the event was the installation of permanent field lights, which had previously been absent from the venue. This upgrade is a substantial benefit to the community, as it now allows the field to be used year-round. Consequently, the improved lighting ensures a safer and more accessible environment for recreational activities and football development.
