The pilot will be implemented at 25 Lush stores across the United States and Canada. Staff at these locations have received training and certification through KultureCity, equipping them to meet the needs of customers requiring sensory accommodations. Participating stores will offer ‘Sensory Bags’ containing items such as “noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools, strobe-reducing glasses, and emotion cue cards for non-verbal communication.” Additionally, scent-masking face coverings will be available for those with smell-related sensitivities.
Through this collaboration, Lush aims to ensure that sensory accessibility and inclusion are available at all times—not only during limited hours or events.
