Rory McIlroy is back in Northern Ireland with his family after his historic victory at the Masters on Sunday.
The 35-year-old golfer secured victory at Augusta to become only the sixth man to have won all four of golf’s major championships.
McIlroy had not won a major since the 2014 US PGA Championship – and his win sparked emotional and jubilant scenes.
He landed at George Best Belfast City Airport on Friday with his wife Erica and daughter Poppy, ahead of an expected visit to his parents, Rosie and Gerry McIlroy, who did not attend the tournament.

Rory McIlroy’s final Masters round
His dramatic win on Sunday saw him face off against Ryder Cup teammate Justin Rose in a sudden-death play-off to decide the Masters champion, after they finished tied on 11 under at the end of regulation.
After, the Northern Irishman said: “It’s my 17th time here and I started to wonder if it would ever be my time.
“I’m just absolutely honoured and thrilled and just so proud to be able to call myself a Masters champion.”
McIlroy is a two-time winner of the PGA Championship, claiming the prize in 2012 and 2014.
He also won his first major title, the US Open, in 2011, and won the Open Championship in 2014.
The golfer has now joined the short list of others to complete a career Grand Slam: Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Gene Sarazen.
