Technical Research Fellowships : Research Fellowship

NextBeam has established a new Research Fellowship program that aims to foster innovation in electron beam sterilization and radiation processing technologies. This initiative provides selected researchers, including PhD candidates, academic fellows, and independent innovators, ith complimentary access to the company’s advanced irradiation facilities, technical expertise, and dosimetry support.

The Research Fellowship program focuses on accelerating developments in medical device sterilization, agricultural applications, and clinical uses, while encouraging participants to publish their findings to advance the broader field. Unlike corporate R&D partnerships, the fellowship is tailored for individual researchers.

Academics and graduate students could leverage NextBeam’s infrastructure to conduct high-impact studies without the prohibitive costs of securing their own irradiation equipment. Innovators exploring novel applications — such as sustainable food preservation or advanced medical sterilization — might benefit from the company’s operational expertise and low scrap rate precision (reportedly under 0.04%).
